1. Variable-Speed Circulation Pumps

The pump is the engine of the pool. Modern variable-speed (VS) pumps run a permanent-magnet motor at the exact RPM the job needs — slow for filtration, faster for heaters and features — replacing the old single-speed units that ran flat-out and burned electricity.

Why it's essential: circulation is what moves sanitised water through the filter and prevents stagnation and algae. An undersized or single-speed pump is the #1 cause of high bills and poor water.

• Motor / power: 1.3 HP – 3.8 HP; 115 V / 230 V models

2. Filtration Systems

Filtration removes the suspended particles that make water cloudy. There are three proven media types, each with a different clarity/filtration cost trade-off.

• Sand: 20 – 40 micron rating; backwash to clean; lowest maintenance, coarsest filtration
• Cartridge: 10 – 20 micron; up to ~300 sq ft pleated media; cleans by rinse, no backwash

• Sizing: media area matched to pool volume and bather load for turnover every 4–8 hours

3. LED Pool Lighting

Niche or niched LED fixtures turn a pool into a night-time feature, improve safety, and use a fraction of the energy of legacy halogen.

• Brightness: ~300 – 1,500+ lumens per fixture
• Ingress rating: IP68 (full submersion rated)

4. Heat Pumps & Heating

For comfortable swimming in cooler months (or chilled water in peak Gulf summer), heat pumps move heat rather than create it — far cheaper to run than gas.

5. Salt-Chlorine Generation

A salt chlorinator generates chlorine from dissolved salt in situ — no handling of tablets or liquid, gentler on skin and eyes, and steadier sanitation.
